I’m Kate, a Michigan wedding planner and the founder of Valley & Oak Events.
Recently I was defined as ‘traditional respect with your own unique and beautiful threads of glamour & sophistication’ and it truly embodies how I’ve built my personal style & character. I was raised to do everything from start to finish to the best of my abilities and to always make it better than I found it. I’m the type of person that helps a stranger find something in a grocery store, puts away stray carts and even returns the items from the fitting room I brought in. More times than not, the people I work with become lifelong friends. I believe life is better outdoors and with a dog. When I am not planning weddings, I can be found outside in the garden, walking in the woods or at the beach on Lake Michigan with my husband, son & pup!
Having 170+ weddings under my belt gives a range of experience and knowledge to help celebrate a couple’s LOVE. I am excited to work with wonderful couples and create the days they have always dreamed of. No two events are the same, which is perfect as neither are people.
